When I started land paddling I bought a commercial made land paddle. As time went by and I changed my style of riding I felt I needed a longer pole and a better ball for better grip on the road. After talking to a couple of SSUP/land paddling riders I got told that most of them use a pole of different material and the most common rubber ball is a KONG BALL (dog chewing toy).
Although this is how I made my land paddle please note that everyone make them differently. Also feel free to comment and share below how you have done yours. Cheers Yenny
1. Pick a pole to use. In this case I bought a $5 bamboo pole aproximately 4cm round and 2 meters tall which is needed because I am 178 cm myself.

2. I bought a Medium/Large extreme bounce solid KONG BALL.
(see image below)
3. I drilled half way through the ball. Make sure you drill the hole a couple of mm smaller than the diamater of the pole. In this way you don't need any glue and once it is on it will stay on!
4. Happy land paddling!
